Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Published in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Financial year ending 31 December 2025.
InternationalMoneyTransfer.com is committed to conducting its business in an ethical and transparent manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains. This statement sets out the steps we have taken during the financial year ending 31 December 2025 to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chains.
1. Our Organisation
InternationalMoneyTransfer.com is an independent digital comparison platform headquartered in London, United Kingdom. We help individuals, businesses, and investors compare international money transfer providers to find the best exchange rates and fees for sending money abroad.
Our business model is primarily digital: we operate a website, produce editorial content, and earn revenue through referral arrangements with regulated financial services providers. We do not hold client funds, execute money transfers, or operate physical premises beyond our registered office.
Our team is small and predominantly home-based in the United Kingdom, working under standard UK employment contracts with full employment rights.
2. Our Supply Chains
Given the nature of our business, our supply chains are limited in scope and relatively low-risk from a modern slavery perspective. Our principal categories of supply and procurement include:
- Technology & Infrastructure: Cloud hosting, website development tools, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms (e.g. analytics, CRM, project management). These are predominantly sourced from large, publicly-listed technology companies headquartered in the UK, USA, or EU that publish their own modern slavery statements.
- Professional Services: Legal, accountancy, and consultancy services procured from regulated UK professional service firms.
- Content & Editorial: Freelance writers and analysts engaged under written contracts, all of whom are domiciled in the UK or in countries with equivalent or stronger labour protections.
- Marketing & Advertising: Digital marketing platforms and agencies operating under UK or EU regulatory frameworks.
- Office Supplies: General business supplies procured through established UK retailers.
We do not source goods from manufacturing or agricultural supply chains where forced or child labour risks are typically concentrated. However, we recognise that no organisation is entirely free of risk and we continue to assess our procurement practices accordingly.
3. Our Policies & Due Diligence Processes
Anti-Slavery Policy
We have a formal Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy which is reviewed annually. This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees, contractors, consultants, and agency workers. The policy makes clear that any breach will be treated as gross misconduct and may result in immediate termination.
Supplier Due Diligence
Before engaging new suppliers, we conduct appropriate due diligence proportionate to the level of risk. Our due diligence process includes:
- Reviewing publicly-available modern slavery statements for relevant suppliers
- Confirming suppliers are domiciled and operating under robust labour law frameworks
- Including anti-slavery contractual obligations in supplier agreements where appropriate
- Assessing the nature of the work and the profile of the workforce involved
Recruitment Practices
We use reputable recruitment channels and verify the right to work of all employees and contractors in accordance with UK law. We do not charge recruitment fees or require workers to surrender identity documents. We pay all workers at or above National Living Wage where applicable.
Provider Accreditation
The money transfer providers we list, review, and compare on our platform are required to be authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or equivalent regulatory bodies in their respective jurisdictions. As part of our Accreditation Programme, we require providers to confirm compliance with applicable modern slavery legislation before listing.
4. Risk Assessment
We have assessed the key risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. We consider our overall risk to be low for the following reasons:
- We are a small digital business with no manufacturing, construction, or agricultural supply chains
- Our workforce is predominantly UK-based with full employment rights and market-rate remuneration
- Our primary suppliers are large, regulated technology and professional service firms in low-risk jurisdictions
- We do not operate in high-risk geographic markets from a labour exploitation standpoint
Despite our low-risk profile, we remain vigilant and commit to escalating our due diligence as our business grows or our supply chain changes in nature.
5. Training & Awareness
We ensure that all members of our team are aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and know how to identify and report concerns. Our approach includes:
- Onboarding: All new employees and contractors receive information about our Anti-Slavery Policy and how to report concerns as part of their induction.
- Annual Review: Our policy is reviewed annually and any updates are communicated to all team members.
- Leadership Responsibility: Our senior leadership team takes ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance with this statement and the underlying policy.
- Resources: We signpost team members to the Modern Slavery Helpline (0800 0121 700) and relevant government guidance.
6. How to Report a Concern
If you suspect that modern slavery or human trafficking is taking place within our organisation or supply chain — or if you experience or witness any form of exploitation — please report it immediately using one of the following channels:
- Internal reporting: compliance@internationalmoneytransfer.com
- Modern Slavery Helpline: 0800 0121 700 (free, 24/7, confidential)
- Police (UK): 999 (emergency) or 101 (non-emergency)
- Home Office referral: Via the National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Individuals reporting genuine concerns in good faith will be protected from retaliation.
7. Key Performance Indicators
We measure the effectiveness of our approach through the following indicators, reviewed annually by senior leadership:
- Zero incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking identified in our business or supply chain
- 100% of new employees completing anti-slavery onboarding materials
- 100% of material new supplier contracts including anti-slavery clauses
- Annual review of this statement by a board-level or senior leadership signatory
